   South Asian Youth Voices

A multi-vocal exploration of what "Identity” means to young South Asians!

Who: Tasveer calls all South Asian youth ranging in age from from 12- 22 who are interested in participating. To take part please write to Meenakshi (rishim@seattleu.edu) or Bipasha (thebipasha@gmail.com).

How: You can perform, sing, read, recite, show a video. There is no limitation on the medium of presentation. For multimedia presentations the deadline is April 11th, 2012. Ideally the length of each should be kept within the 3-7 minute range.

Pre-requisite: All participants must attend a pre-performance brainstorming session/workshop on Sunday March 11th, 2012 at Seattle University (time and room TBA).

Led by Dr. Nalini Iyer and Dr. Meenakshi Rishi, participants in the workshop will explore issues surrounding identity through dialogue and discussion.

Please confirm your attendance at the workshop by sending an email to Meenakshi (rishim@seattleu.edu) or Bipasha (thebipasha@gmail.com) no later than 10 pm on February 19th. If you are unable to attend the workshop but would still like to be mentored please let us know.
